New Comps in my opinion, too many risks with buying second hand speakers/subs.
I would only buy the Sub if you knew the person who owned it and knew they had it set up right.
Im sure Subs with a built in amp is active and not passive?

Unless you spend money on the hifh end stuff then i wouldnt touch it.
Some internals on the amps and voice coils on the speaker/subs are the same Sony use for the Xplod range for instance. You do the math.
You can get JL Audio Comps and Subs for resonable prices these days.
I used to have 2 Jl Audio W3v2 subs, Focal Series 2 components (only 7 sets in Europe), 2 genesis profile 4 amplifiers and a nagatchi pro-sound headunit. All in worth about 1800, i imported most of it from the states for around 900 all in.
Beside that, Fucked 2 light clusters on my Megane Coupe because the bass kept splitting the boards.
Trust me, Spend wisely, its worth it in the long run.

Yes, you can.
And secondly, JBL and Infinity (new or old series) have nothing in common atall.

I dont see the problem with JBL for the money they are good, I dont personally own any JBL stuff, but a few of my friends have/do and its been more than capable of what it was made for.
Best set of components I had were a set of rainbow slx230 deluxe components, followed by Phoenix Gold Octane ZR comps. If I ever buy another set of components would probably go with rainbow or focal or even boston acoustics

Boston Acoustics are hard to come by arent they?
I want some Rainbows but spent alot of time getting my focals so dont want to change yet.
I would just never buy the JBL gear, For the same money you can get low spec items of bigger brands PG, JL, Focal, Genesis etc.
