N96 looks over rated, barely any better than the N95 8GB. I was waiting for the N96 but I think Nokia have slipped up with it TBH.
I think i'll be going for the new iPhone unless it is either ridiculously expensive or a rubbsih spec (which I doubt).

Just a thought but do you think thet'll slash the price of the 16gb model now? Would be quite tempted if they were a sensible price

Apart from an extra 8GB and mobile TV, tell me what the N96 has got that the N95 8GB.
I'm not arguing, maybe I have missed something?

James I hate to say it but you are wrong lol, the N96 looks immense!
PS I can't imagine the new iPhone will be out here on June 9th, have they confirmed a UK release date?

I'm not arguing but i'm waiting for someone to tell me what the N96 has that the N95 8GB doesn't.
Then I will shut up

Well its not necessarily what its got over the N95, its just the spec in general is every bit as good as an iPhone... but it'll be a better 'phone overall and probably won't cost you nearly £300!!!

Yeah it's better than the iPhone, I never doubted that. But I just don't think Nokia have done much considering the N95 8GB is out there.
There's a discussion on mobile review about it and the general view is that it's not a huge improvement on the N95 8GB.

Hmmm, I'd severely debate that but still... double the memory, same/less weight/size (IIRC)... quicker, more functionality etc
It was neve rgoing to be a revoluionary phone... evolution more like lol

TBH I think the internet on the iPhone is enough to sell it for me, internet is one of the most useful things to have when you are out and about but I am yet to see a phone other than the iPhone where it is genuinely usable.
I find myself buying these top end Nokias and then all I use is the phone and the camera. The sat nav is crap and the internet is too hard to use IMO.

Yeah the safari browser on the iPhone is aweosme... the revsied nokia one should be very good but dioubt it will be as good.. comes down to what u want tho...
I would disagree that nokias on isnt useable as i use it A LOT (as its free on mine) but that said, its not as user friendly/detailed as safari browser

Just did a compare on the Nokia site of the N95 8GB and the N96. The N96 battery life is worse than the N95, that's enough to put me off as my N95 hardly lasts.
Seriously go here http://www.nokia.co.uk/A4221002 and compare the 2, I think you will be surprised. I'm usually a Nokia fanboy but I just think this N96 is a waste of time and effort.

BTW the only reason i'm comparing the two is because i'm due an upgrade and I have the N95, TBH I don't even see the N96 as an upgrade, more of a replacement

hhmm I can cope with that, I can even cope with the £35 a month contract, I just don't want an 18 month contract.
