took a look at my brakes the other day to clean up the abs sensors as I keep getting an ABS light every now and again. Looked at the discs while I was there and the back of them is nice and convave so it looks like its new disk time and I may as well chuck on some new pads too.

What would people recomend normal GM stuff or something else? Used as a daily driver and taken on the odd spirited drive.

Also is it normal for one side of the disc to have worn more then the other? (same on both sides) or have I got sticking calipers or something

Ok mate I will get some local prices and get back to you

Anyone got any thoughts on the EBC range of pads. Only thing I dont like about the pads I have atm is the amount of brake dust I get. Brake twice and it seems the whole wheel is covered I think they are just GM ones

green stuff = crap

had them, wont get them again unless using for track

gm are best, work from cold and really hard to get them to fade

(used on 2.0l brakes)

Rebled by the local garage in april before the track day and they didnt really feel any different afterwards Pedal seems to have a lot of travel so I am going to replace all the pads, shoes and disks and see what that does

the hoses can lead to poor pedal feel..

as they've probably been on the car since new, so then tend to expand when brake fluid get's warm etc etc
