Right, this is quite difficult to explain but ill try.

It started the other day, driving down a bypass, went to overtake a car dropped a gear, then as i went to overtake the car juddered and shaked kinda thing, like something was restricting it or stopping it accelerating.

I thought at first is was the fuel pump not getting fuel as the light was on, but i then went to fill up and it still occurs.

It also happens if i set off, come off the clutch and put my foot down. The car just doesnt seem to move or accelerates really slow, as if i was in 5th doing 70.

Sorry for the shit diagnosis.

Only 1.0 12v and 1.2 16v have a MAF - the 1.4 and 1.6 16v work off a MAP sensor, which works completely differently.

might be an idea to give it a service ( fuel filter, plugs and leads) and see if that makes any differance, while doing this, check all the vacume pipes for spits. if this makes no difference then your best bet would be to put it on a diagnostic computer to get the live data checked
