What deal did you get Kerry?
What are you paying per month and is it a 18 or 24 month?

Christ!
Didnt get a special deal or anything by upgrading?
Thats over £1000 over the 2 years!!
Can get the 8gb for £350 or the 16gb for £400 on o2 PAYG, then go on a sim only contract..
800mins, 1600 texts with free unlimited wifi bolt on for £20 a month.
Saving yourself £200 over the two years.

I did get a deal they upgraded me 2 months early without me having to buy out of my contract!
The monthly cost is pretty much the same as it is now as my phone gets a lot of use and I would rather not pay out to buy the phone upfront for £400
Back to the original question.........

Kerry, here we go:
jailbreaking your phone is a must.
The official website is the Iphone Dev
When they link to the jailbroke downloads its via the piratebay torrents, the only official place to get it.
Jailbreaking unlocks the OS and adds additional 'App Stores' called Cydia and Installer. Cydia is the best.
If you dont like the jailbreaking or want to return your phone, plug it back into the PC, fire up Itunes and click restore and it will always restore it back to standard firmware.
Once you have cydia, you download various sources to see additional downloads. download as many sources as you can.
Apps on cydia I recommend:
Catagories - allows you to create 'folders' on your desktop, keeps it tidy. I have two folders named apps and games.
Winterboard - allows you to add themes to your iphone.... a must have app.
Flashlight - use your phone as a flash light
MX Tube - download and store youtube videos on your phone
SwirlyMMS - picture messaging for your iphone.... yep!
VideoRecorder - record video
Iphone Modem - connect your laptop/PC to the iphone to get internet anywhere for free
Tioti TV+ - if you have Sky+, you can setup remote record and record directly from your iphone (its almost instant. This app is better than the Sky+ app itself)
BiteSMS - a must! allows you to forward text, send to many (all the features you miss)... you will also need to set the carrier to default carrier in preferences.
MCallShow - gives you a town location of where the caller is ringing from (handy)
ToneFX - easily change any sound to... any sound.
Nemusync - If you use google calendar (I do), it will sync with this.
On the app Store:
Everest: hidden expedition.. great game
bejewelled 2
labyrinth
Facebook
Shazam - record 10 seconds of any song and your Iphone will tell you the name and album for free.
Ebay - if you really use ebay much
Allowance - Shows you your bill so far (must register on the o2 website first)
Skype - Ive installed theis but yet to use it properly. It will allow you to make calls for nothing or next to nothing (I think), but im yet to go over my allowed minutes/text so I dont really use it. If you use Skype on your PC properly I guess it will be useful
Also, within Cydia is several themes (Complete) for you to download/install (for free).
If you have any questions, drop me a PM.

If you use Skype, there's a good app on Cydia called VoIPover3g - it tricks the phone into thinking its in a WIFI network and allows you to use Skype over your 3g connection
Also a good app called Lockdown - allows you to lock any of your applications with a seperate PIN to the phone lock. You can also lock the icons from being moved, or deleted.

Since this is an iphone thread, how do I install flash player on my phone? Do I have to do it via PC? I've clicked the link using safari and it says that safari is supported but refuses to download?
