i am currently converting my GSI to a 2.0l, i've modded the engine and put in a f28 gear box. Im thinking about putting a roll cage in, any idea how much they are and if their easy to fit? Also uprating the braking system, any other mods you think i need? The engine should be running around 250 bhp

Sounds good mate, Corsasport does not have any picture hosting at the moment, but there are plans to have an upload facility for premium members in the future.
Engine spec sounds nice Do you have any RR plots for it?

Hehe, what would happen if you put some weber carbs on a 1.2 SXI?
just curious coz my dad has some kicking about - not that I would put em on, but just wondering what would happen (if anything)

Is the 250bhp an estimate or proven?

you wont get any more power out of a coscast head than a KS head if they have had the same amount of work done to them, the only difference is the type of metal used in the casting, the coscast is more resilient and less likely to go porous.
Personally you wont get more than 200-220bhp with the setup youve mentioned dependant on the lift of the cams and theyre duration.
Personally its a big big estimate and you wont get that on carbs, you need throttle bodies.

The early coscasts had larger valve guides as well.
They also put coscasts on somew late turbos.

I doubt youll get that much with 45 carbs, youll need throttle bodies. I dont mean to rain on your parade!
