I think my 1.4SRi engine is on its way out and I am thinking of getting a 2.0 16v conversion. What I want to know is what's the average price of the whole conversion?
And also, does a garage have to do the conversion or can a pretty competant DIY mechanic (ex-AA man) do it? (This would be much cheaper for me coz he's a mate!)

the corsa 2.0 conversion is easier than the nova conversion as u dont need to strengthen engine bay

You can pick an engine up for 400-800 quid. A conversion kit starts from 575 quid. Other than that it's just labour.
The kits are designed to make the conversion DIY, so a competent mechanic should certainly be able to do it.

What sort of suspension is needed then? Will my full G-max kit not do?
