Washed, polished and waxed the Punto today, so decided it was the perfect opportunity to take some proper outdoor shots with the N8. All in Auto mode except the water beeding which was in Macro. Have to say I'm quite impressed with the camera.
However 12mp mode does not fill the screen on the phone, where as 9mp mode does. Weird.
Doesn't handle shade too well in some cases.

Has all the adjustment of my Canon 350D. Whether it is as effective I don't know. I'm pretty impressed tbh.

in a word, no
im assuming the adjustments will be for things like shutter speeds and aperture etc, will just be simulated, wont actually adjust those things like a dslr

In poor light it seems a bit shit tbh.
EDIT: Pic (hosted on Corsasport so quality destroyed). That was a pitch black room on portrait mode with red eye on.

Looking back at the flash pic it isn't too bad. Where it gets confused is whether it needs flash or not in bulb lit rooms. Goes really grainy.

Photo's look good for a mobile phone camera, and the car looks nice too... but off topic. That mouth thing, can you do it the other way? I can only do it in one direction, like in your photo. But not the opposite way.

Just the one way. I can also make my ears wiggle. Maybe I'll do a 720p HD video on the N8

They're pretty good pics, I had heard good things about these phone's cameras.
Car looks very red so can't be that cheap a sensor
Saw a vid in 720p on YouTube too, looks really good.

Way better camera than my desire. In the daylight it does an ok job, but in the dark it's wank
