Do the opposite of whatever iviark says tbh. You'll do well in life with that philosophy.

I could afford it but if its not alot better than the s2 it seems abit of a waste.

I personally think people are crazy paying for a £40~ a month contract... I have been on payg since i can remember and pay £10 a month, have a £100 android phone that does everything i want and im not tied down to anything.

I wouldn't pay an extra £10 a month, plus money for the phone.

4.3 inch screen (S2)
3.5 inch screen (iphone 4s)
Apparently the S2's screen is meant to be amazing.

You could wait for the Samsung Nexus? Should be out within a week or two.

upgrade is on the 7th so it should be out by then. I will consider that as the s2 is rather big.

I'd say 4s.
I've had my 4 for a year now and can't see any reason to upgrade because it does everything I want.

Just when I was searching for apps on his phone couldnt find them, although alot where the same, was fiddly to use too. Far from an Apple fan boy too so not just being biased.

Why? It's a bigger phone than I want at this moment in time. I could get one next Saturday if I wanted one m8.

Couldn't have that, it'd be dangerous to use. Haldex can kill at any moment.

Funnily enough my brother asked me the exact same question on the weekend, my opinion is perhaps biased but I told him to go for the 4S - that aside though, my opinion of Samsung phones is not high and I think when he comes to upgrade again, he should be able to sell his iPhone for more than the Samsung.
Then again, I suppose it depends what deal he gets as he hasn't told me what sort of tariff/network he'd be going for.
Anyways, to summarise - get the iPhone 4S.

I've got a decision to make in a next couple of weeks as well.
If I can get a 12month contract, then i'll go for the iPhone, the reason being, i'll be paying £40 a month for 12 months - £500ish for the year, but the re-sale value on iPhones are a lot higher (£300ish) than any of the android phones, so financially it'll be a better decision.
I'd prefer Android tbh, can get the S2 (or sensation) for £30 and £21.50 a month on a 24 month contract.
Personal preference I guess. They'll both what you want anyway.

Won't you have to pay alot for the actual 4S phone on a 12 month deal though?
