A friend of mine, has the green cabinet right outside his house (he can literally stand in his garden and touch it).

Upload spunks over Virgin, they need to change to 5:1 instead of a 10:1 ratio for download:upload.
PS Virgin have been doing 100Mb for some time now?

Is Superfast BT Infinity different to the normal BT Infinity? I had the normal one in the old house and we had the green box right outside our door too but I was only getting something like 20MB download.

"Sorry, you're not currently able to get BT Infinity. This may be because your area has not been enabled yet, or your individual line does not support super-fast broadband. Register your interest and we'll let you know if this changes."

Be a while till I get anything other than 2.5mb stupid new estate. Surely you'd think they'd wire new estates while building them, or virgin would get involved and cable it up while their being built

Best I was getting on adsl was about 1.5mbps down and something pissy like 0.3 up
Had infinity installed about 8 weeks ago and now enjoy 31mbps wired and 26mbps wireless

Have all the infinity people got 40gb caps?
I'd rather have 15meg ADSL and unlimited than 76meg that I'd only be able to download a couple of films.
Completely defeats the purpose.

Our area has had it about a month now, just ordered mine through Sky yesterday. 40meg £20 a month (12month contract) plus free line rental for 12 months. Being installed on 27th, cant wait! Currently get less than 1meg!

They all have 40GB cap; http://www.productsandservices.bt.com/consumerProducts/displayTopic.do?topicId=29017
Defeats the point, you're hardly going to notice the difference just browsing web pages.

My infinity is option 2 which is unlimited
Why the fuck anyone would take option 1 with a 40gb cap is beyond me

Ah yeah, finally found the page that has that option. They say they only cap P2P and there's no other policies, i.e. FUP.
EDIT: Puts us to shame;

No cap, totally unlimited.
Its not officially out until the end of the month but some are getting it early by ordering through retentions.
