Are they any good? just really want motion detection really to email me pics etc.

Only for the house and can put it in 1 of the bedrooms and send the pics to a dedicated email address or something.

I know its cheap but dont want a full recording DVR thing like we have in our shop etc....

Any advice or help would be sound!

For the right job they can be OK. The quality of them of one of those is not too great. I have one and had it in the bedroom looking down at the garden and it produced good enough CCTV of someone jumping into our garden that the school found the people and the police gave them a b**locking.

I've got mine connected to software which does recording etc. I'm not using the built in stuff.

I'll send over a pic tonight.

I think that's a software thing. There's loads of different software you can use to email you, upload to somewhere, etc, etc using a webcam.

Without ever seeing a picture from one of them, the quality will be shocking.

Based on the fact the budget ones we sell are twice the price of even them.

Wireless camera, what happens if 2.4ghz is flooded you will lose feeds.

All you need to do is run a phone as an AP to flood the channel in use by camera.

Don't think you have to worry about someone breaking into your bedroom and flooding 2.4Ghz munchie.

Password should be a default I would have thought?

Possibly written on the box, the unit or in documentation?

That looks like you have a return / refurb. All those should be empty when you get it.

Looks like someone else has had it and setup thier DDNS on it.

I wouldn't go straight for that. The guide text saying tenvis suggests that's what the manufacturer used to test it. Probably being terrible chinese software, it wouldn't be surprising if they had left the test details in the code.

Its way better when viewing it on iphone etc.

For less than £40 its well worth it.

That screenshot is what the camera has sent me, you can see numberplates clearly at night as the infra red reflects off the number plates!

yeh, got a little window watching our path.

I text me brother asking where hes going and he was like WTF ha.

Its a little slow when using it from work but bearing in mind, when you click it to pan to the right or left for example, it takes less than a second for it to actually move!

Im sure you can set it up to record as well and you can also schedule it to take pictures and email you when you want

We've recently installed some security cameras round my folks house, HD ones, cost a fortune. My mum has become obsessive with them haha When she goes out for half hour, she'll then come back and check the tapes and shit Told her I'm getting worried

Note that won't work during the night. The IR will bounce off the glass. Without IR you will just see black
