So bloody lost! The red and black wire and the blue and white one go to the alternator, and the two plugs go to speedo? But if I have an xe do I need the plugs?

The 3 pin plug goes to the transducer in the gearbox then the 3 wires will go to the loom, should be colour for colour

Right i found where the grey plug attachs to. Then im still confused as to the 3 pin plug with the orange bit on it.
As yous have said it goes to the plug on the gearbox, but that plug is different :/ I just found a photo on my computer and the blue and white one goes to the alternator.
So where does the black and red one go? lol

Will give you a shout when i come to do the wiring mate, The grey plug attachs onto the car loom, but then the blue/white to alternator and the red/black to starter, but everyones saying that other black plug goes to the gearbox, but the plugs are different :/ So its like i need to find the plug for that and then cut the black plug off and solder it onto the wire

The black plug goes to the speedo drive/transducer on the gearbox. The plug was different on mine too so I chopped them off and just joined the wires. Colour for colour.
This is the plug you have,

And this is the speedo drive on the gearbox where its meant to go,

So you need to get a plug that fits the speedo drive and join the wires colour for colour.

If the gearbox/clocks that your going to be running is cable driven though then you don't need to worry about it.

Would have to be from a scrapyard I think, not sure if they can be bought from the dealers as its part of the loom.
You will need the speedo drive too if there's not one in your gearbox but it should be there.

That's what mine has with the speedo cable coming out of it. If you have the electronic speedo you'll need a transducer
