Surprised that there isn't a thread about this already considering it's being hailed as the best phone ever.
Not got one btw. But not an iPhone fan and considering getting a new contract?
Any one got one or heard many thoughts of users? Heard battery life is a worry but not too worried about that as plenty of electricity around these days

Got the non-edge one, the edge seems a bit of a gimmick to me. Who keeps their phone screen down on a desk?
Its running a lollipop so i was told.

I would hope it's on lollipop, my nexus had it in December. Took until now for Sony to get their shit together though, only updated last week

Went from iphone to S5 last year and havnt looked back.
S6 looks a lot nicer than the 5 but I would miss the expandable storage.

I never used the 8gb on the S3 so think i'll be ok with that.
Find it a lot cleaner and simpler to use than the s3, not so many menus within menus. All makes more sense now, especially the camera functions/settings.

Any thoughts yet? Looking at this or the Edge myself. Wanted the new Nexus but 3 arent doing it and i need all you can eat data.
Agree that the edge seems a bit of a gimmick, will only get it if 3 can do a deal on retentions. Camera and display is meant to be awesome on these but battery life not that great.

That sucks, they didn't offer the original nexus through 3, so had to use a seperate site, but found it eventually, assumed it'd be the same with this one.
It's massive anyway

Aye but im currently using a Note II so wouldnt be a big [ ] issue.
Pretty much given up on it anyway, think I'll end up with the S6/S6 Edge so hoping 3CM can put my battery worries to bed. Its either that or the M9 but the camera isnt meant to be a patch on the S6

I am pleased with it, not installed any apps yet. Battery life does seem as if it will need charging every night, but has a battery saving mode and an ultra battery saving mode, so if it predicts i have 8-9hrs left, ultra saving mode can take that to 87hrs.
Also have the wireless charging thing so that sits on desk and work and i just leave it on there so don't have to worry really. Thinking about buying a 2nd wireless charger so i can have one at work and one at home.
Got a leather case coming for it, i always buy a case for phones.
Fingerprint sensor is great, stored one finger one thumb, you can have 4 stored so thumb and forefinger on each hand.
My old phone was an S3, and i seemed to notice it lagging a bit when closing apps etc
Much less menus and crap installed and its easier to uninstall or disable things, no need to go through the app settings manager menu thing can do it all by clicking on an app icon.
The menu button to the left of home button is different now, just takes you to the screen where you can close apps and windows, used to have to hold down the home button on the s3 for that.
I watched this video which talks you through it, girly is quite nice as well

Sounds good, waiting on delivery of an s6 Edge.
One thing I noticed with the s5 (which has much the same feature) was that there was a lot of crap installed.
Samsung did however say they would be stripping back the s6, lollipop has got it's bearings now too, the first version was utter garbage, but it's working a lot better now.
How good is the wireless charging? it's something I meant to get for the s5 but never bothered in the end,

How much you paying for the edge Shep? Trying to decide whether its really worth the extra cost, certainly like the look of the phone better but the cost is pretty eye watering for what is essentially the same phone.

Wireless charging is great. Just plug the pad thing in and then plonk the phone on it. I got the Samsung one with it. Only because the chap in store knocked 50% off.
Want a qi charger that means you can lean phone on it at 45degrees so you can see screen when it's on desk. I wouldn't of bought the Samsung one had I thought about that. Plus the Samsung one is normally £40 which is expensive compared to others.
Also charges slower with the wireless. If you want to fast charge you have to plug it in.

£32 pm on EE it's an upgrade, 5gb, unlimited text's and calls, fee for the phone should of been £99 but it was waived as I said I'd go elsewhere.

I can only buy from EE. No one else has reception around here. It's pretty wrong improved. Almost a monopoly in the area as you have no choice.

How good is the fast charge by the way? Genuinely work how it says it does?
