wow, o2 will offer me £251 for my 3GS, thats pretty good.
It would more than cover the cost of a new phone upgrade (on contract) or leave me with £200 to pay for the PAYG!
Im currently on PAYG (Simplicity for iPhone).

are you really that bothered about whether people know you have an i phone?
thats pathetic

So, tell me something about this iPhone that makes it so fantastic [as compared to the 3GS; which was also a must have].

better camera, flash (not adobe flash ), multitasking, display, front facing camera, HD video recording, quicker, longer battery life.....
all the details are here:

to be completely honest i have zero idea. my thoughts are that if you have a 3gs, there is nothing to be done, however when i find out, i will let you know.

tbh Ive a fair while left on mine, so may well skip this one unless Voda offer some nice incentives - its not like its massively better than the 3GS for what I want it for (dont care too much about the camera improvement or the screen which I dont use for much more than browsing the web, texts and the odd game).

Sounds like the typical reply we can expect from those locked into a contract with the old out of date model.

Id rather spend my money on an iPad than the new iPhone if its gonna cost a fortune.

If you're locked in for a wile longer on a 3GS then you've not exactly got a rubbish phone there. There's zero point in wasting money just to get the latest model as while the new features look good, there certainly not worth spending £xxx to get.

Once I can upgrade to OS4 then will make little difference.

As i sat out the 3GS and kept my 3G i'll defo be getting the iPhone 4 as its quite a step. Had i gone for the 3GS, i'd have to seriously consider if it was worth the extra money.
I have them on PAYG anyway so ill just put the money from the 3G towards this, im hopeing it will come in at no more than £550 for the PAYG with 12 months web/wifi.

The screen is easily the single biggest improvment they could have made to web browsing.
