Could you not scroll down and have the top bar disappear like on iOS?
From these three latest pictures the two years old 4 has the best use of the screen realestate, when browsing in landscape mode...

No reason anyone on android should be using anything other than chrome.
Can be made default browser easily and it's actual chrome and not a wrapper like ios.

Can't hide the address bar (yet) Balling, would be better though.
iOS hiding it is a 6 feature isn't it? Or is it better in 6, can't remember.

Yep, install chrome it renders fine. Shame 91% of android users use the stock browser though.

Top bar has always gone when scrolling down. Removing bottom bar in landscape mode is an iOS 6 feature. One of the few really good ones, as Mr. Barnes will agree.

Wtf you using stock browser for Steve?
Not sure about that percentage Ash, it's not the same as a browser on the iPhone, which is a pita, it's in play store, you install it and that's it.
That looks fine Cavey.
Ash is basing his opinions of a bad demo in a shop and a mate who can't work the phone.

Yours would do.
Maybe you chaged some settings but the screenshot is how my mates renders and how the one in the shop did. Not that it matters so much if you can just install and aftermarket browser to fix it.

That's the stock browser on landscape on my sensation XE.
Hence why i've never found the need to use Chrome on my phone, works fine as it is on that

For not installing Chrome?
Tbf, most JB installs include Chrome anyway so i suspect it'll become the default browser.
Speaking of JB, any news on JB coming to the S3?

I guess. But the point is I could pick up any iphone from a mate or go in any shop and they would all render fine, there would be no bad ones.

No idea, I know hes running JB. Are you?
Yes I know but to read the text you have to zoom, and therefore loose half the website off the screen.
Whereas on iPhone/Android Chrome it makes much better use of the available screen.

JB roms have been out for a few months on the S3. I'm using "Omega rom" uses Samsung jelly bean so keeps all the Samsung features (Motion controls and pop out player etc) you can get vanilla ones to if you prefer.

I'm using an actual samsung one.
The reason I changed back from vanilla was actually because of motion and the stock player.
