Think its from £329 now. For £70 extra might as well get the new one?

They obviously listened to me in that other thread when Balling was freaking out about the naming of their products

So retina display, A5X and LTE support - nothing else??
Wouldn't be a problem if we didn't have such a history of sitting on our arses and being generally useless at updating infrastructure over here.

I like how they've gone to what they do with iPods. Maybe the next iPhone will just be an iPhone (6th gen)
I think the camera upgrade is a waste, surely the FaceTime one is used the most on an iPad. I'm just. It going to look at a new one and I won't want one. As soon as I see the new screen I'll want to upgrade like I did with 3GS-4

iSight camera - useful for video chat. HD video camera, useful for helping you look like a penis:

But the naming, it does make sense. You can only go numbering things so far before it gets a bit silly.

Just been reading about this new iPad on the Apple site, looks like it has good features but nothing that mindblowing IMO.
I think I'll get one when it comes out though, good thing to use for web browsing in bed or in the living room etc.
Was tempted to get an iPad 2 before the announcement (thinking it would be significantly cheaper when the new one would be out) but if the new one is only £70 more, fuck it I'll just get that instead.

Soo it has a better camera which is still rubbish because there's no flash, better retina display and 4g lte which is pretty much useless in most parts of the uk.
I dont get the big fuss about this one

That's because we're in the UK - shit network.
The screen will be the only selling point over here.

Refurbed iPad 2 now 290. iPads will be most people's first choice for tablets I reckon now.

I wasn't freaking out FFS!
Agree though, makes good sense to skip the numbering, though I'm sure it'll cause some confusion at first.

I still have an iPad 1 and o2 has offered me £150 for it (2 weeks back). think i'll sell up and buy the new one, it'll be a nice upgrade which includes a massively better CPU and facetime will be good.
Odered 3G version in white. Never had a white idevice before so thought id give it a try.
Theres alot of PAYG simms which appear to be very cheap at the moment, so also have the option to use that.

People not getting the fuss are the same people who don't think it needs a better screen.
It was a brilliant tablet before, screen was only thing letting it down.
While I'm at it, 1080p Apple TV, who on earth would need that, 720p does the job

This.
I fully intended to get both the new iPad and new Apple TV before the announcement. Now I don't intend to get either.

Yeah I was more keen for Apple TV, I want it to have Safari or LoveFilm built in but as it has neither I won't be getting one.
