I've had crashed apps, just never that one Ash has posted.
Told us so what JM Curdy? Your phone was broken and it's looking more and more like the user was broken too.

Strangely enough, the only apps that have crashed on my S3 is the drag racer game and........... the Google chrome browser.

Bit of an update after 48 hours....
I've had no crashes other than that about 3-4 times, which is obviously the same issue.
Now I've got Sync on I'm actually getting notifications and stuff updating/pushing which is nice. Will have to see how it affects the battery. 82% so far today.
Don't like having to use that menu button, like in Chrome for forward and back arrows, they should just be on the screen like a desktop browser not hidden away in a menu. And how the address bar doesn't dissapear when you scroll.
Also, don't like how you can't change the order of the apps in the App drawer or even move the app drawer icon itself.
I put a few widgets on the various home screens when I got it and since doing that I can't say I've used any of them. I can't see as they really serve any benefit over just opening the full app? Great so I can now see one tweet by scrolling left three times to get to my twitter widget, or I can just tap the icon on my home screen and seem them all...
Scrollings not as 'light' you don't seem to go as far with a swipe and it stops more suddenly, not sure if this can be adjusted in settings at all?
Some 3rd Party apps like Natwest and ebay don't seem as polished as the iOS versions, slightly laggy and awkward. Most of the top apps in the store seem to be the ones that were in the Apple App store 6-12 months ago.
Still liking the bigger screen although not sure if the benefit of being able to see more is outweighed by its awkwardness. Even then I'm not sure you can see anymore it just makes everything bigger, like text, but because its not as high DPI the text doesn't appear perfectly crisp making it harder to read anyway. Wouln't like to read a book on it for any period of time.
Don't get me wrong though I'm only pointing out the negatives here (which are more niggles than issues), overall I still really like the phone.

if you dont get that option, it may be because your OS isnt up to date i think my gf couldnt do it on hers, then she checked for updates and it did. Infact id check for updates anyway as mine did a big one after i had it out the box

I thought from what I had read on here that the S3 was perfect in every single way

That FC sounds like TouchWiz going belly up; as Steve said, make sure the phone is up-to-date and running the latest.
Tbh, you might get on better with a stock ROM rather than Samsung's TouchWiz; just make sure you backup everything if you go that route.
As for widgets, i agree that Twitter/Facebook/Social-based widgets are a bit pointless but having calendars/reminders on the home-screen is pretty useful.

Steve - Got the option to hide (which I've used to hide all the Samsung bloatware) but cant rearrange. It's running 4.1.1, think thats the latest?
I'm wary about installing a custom rom as I've got a feeling it will break more things than it fixes. Also don't want to loose access to Natwest App or Sky Go etc as a result of rooting.

Yes you can drag them around but no matter where you drop it, it puts it back where you took it from

Nice one! I was missing selecting the 'customisable grid' option
So much better not having youTube on the second page, I'm a fussy bugger.

There's root workarounds for most apps, including Sky Go. And going to a stock ROM shouldn't break anything, you just won't have TouchWiz or any of the Samsung Apps.
