being a decorator, one cringes at seeing peeps working out of paint tins lol
Sprayed the ornate coving, the lattice work on the roof wasnt too bad using a brush.

try DULUX DIAMOND GLAZE when you varnish it, it's water base, don't use gloss though as it looks pants, satin or matt finish looks best on floors.
you could also OIL it using this if you want instead...
OSMO oils

i've picked up ronseal's hard one... satin medium oak. Looked at Dulux's Diamond a while back when we did the other floors and remember scoffing at the price. That was at dulux trade place too.
Dont take this the wrong way..... but I do know what I'm doing

room is getting there
floor finished, bed in, new light up - still need to match the colour on the ensuite door and finish bits here and there. Being back in a decent sized bedroom is ace Its about 4m by 4m, walk in wardrobe and ensuite.... king size bed and stove to warm your tootsies.
shaver socket for ensuite.... it'll just use a deep double box wont it? Was i past B&W today but the didnt have any flush fitting ones.

yeas Adam the shaver socket should be just a deep double back box. unless your socket is some obscure one from abroad. i have had only one shaver socket in the past that didn't fit on a standard back box so i fancy your chances.

Haven't really updated this for a while
New glass splashback was finally fitted last week. They cocked up a bit with the measurements so need to come back to move the sockets so that they can be refitted.
Looks pretty good though
Just really the cooker hood to go up now
En suite is finished now too, and the bedroom is pretty much there, just need to give it a proper tidy up.
Will get photos one day!
