Not entirely true.
The playstation 3 is the 3rd generation of the playstation.
There was variations in the design of the console, but as for generations the 3 is the 3rd.

Variations in the design, you mean like the variation between a 3G and a 3GS or 4 and a 4S, so actually the 3GS and 4S aren't actually 'generations', just variations, which would make the 3G, 4 and 5 all generations that line up with their names. Just sayin.

Looks like an aluminium frame to me. The black one looked to have a dark anodised finish to it on some pics a while back - I doubt they'd paint it or powder coat it as it wouldn't be that durable: http://www.macrumors.com/2011/06/20/next-generation-macbook-air-to-include-black-option/

if the 3gs isnt a generation then the 4 isnt the 4th, thats the point me and balling make. its a disregard for any real structure purely because people of inferior intelligence would be too confused if it was named anything other than 5. but again those same idiots cant understand our point either

I won't be paint, neither will it be alloy, it'll be stainless steel like the current iPhone bezel.
I'll actually be suprised if it' white, the black will be annodised and the white will be plain stainless like the iPhone 4 at a guess.

The battery on my phone is fucked now, it's used 20% in about 2 hours and I've barely done anything with it. As I'm fanboy #2 behind A2H GO I might pre-order. I really like the design, especially the dark frame on the black one

In that side by side picture it instantly dates the iPhone 4.
Due to it being thinner I would imagine it will not feel any different in the hand to the iPhone 4/4S.
I don't get why people are upset that its similar to the previous iterations, its an improvement over an already iconic design.
PS. That iPad does not look anything like something Apple would make.
