I've unpaired it to start over again but now my PS3 is just scanning and doesn't seem to be finding the headset. Getting pissed off with this. How hard can it be!

i have to do mine every couple of weekd for some reason. when its paired you have to change the audio settings, something to do with output, it wil try to output through earpiece so you will have to change it

Make sure it's fully charged. And you're not forgetting to go into Settings, Audio Device Settings and change input device to your headset are you? Or it won't work...

I charged it the night before. I'll have a look at the Audio settings tonight if I can get it to connect. It just wouldn't do at all last night

I've looked at that and it says:

Input Device Do not use

and I cant change it but that'll be because I cant get it to connect to the PS3 anymore. Need to reset it somehow but there are next to no instructions with it. Pile of crap wont even connect to my phone.
