ive just been to vaux there and it was £23 inc vat but was talkin to one of the mechanics and he said the way its idling sounds more like an air leak, either way ive booked it in to go on tech 2 on tuesday and hopefully it will show up the problem, they know whats been replaced etc so fingers crossed it sorts itself out

Your first post on this thread is exactly what happened to my 1.2 corsa just change the temp sensor and see if its any better

Just go down scrappers and 'borrow' them.
I changed the entire lot of sensors on my car to confirm the cause. Cost me nothing but a couple £ petrol to scrappers and back!

Do the paper clip test save ya self the cash will tell ya exactly the same as vaux will

i dont know how to do it mate
i think it might be that coolant sensor now cos it aint been revving anywhere near as much since i changed the other one earlier

go on here http://www.topbuzz.co.uk/
then into the tech info section then scroll down to reading ecu fault codes then get reading. sticking the paper clip in to find the codes is as easy as sticking ur finger.......................... enough said
