If you have pressed the key to turn on progressive taxi then the purple line may well be behind the Aircraft.
I'm guessing you know that SHIFT+P will pushback the aircraft if your at the gate.

If you see this screen it says "Runway/ Starting position" You can select here which gate/parking area you can start from.

Ahhhh hadn't spotted that before, ill try that tonight then, i wonder if that why i couldn't get the purple line up as i wasn't starting from a gate etc

gotta laugh eh. Hopefully it will be better tonight then, can't wait now  I took off from Gatwick in a 737 and managed to get to Southend  crash landed tho still chuffed i found it though.
Yeah i didn't have any joy with it  really annoying as i wanted to go live aswell.

It takes a while to get into it. Try doing a couple of lessons. It will help lots!!
I'm a bit unsure of going online, cause a lot of people take it seriously as if it is real.

Surely thats still good though isnt it ? waiting till its your turn to fly from ATC, then taking off and seeing other users in the sky, then contacting ATC (who i beleive can be real people apparently) to get permission for landing etc.
Can't wait.

Yeah, from what i've read they can be real people which also use real life ATC speak.
Maybe Cybermonkey maybe able to help in setting it up?
