P.s. don't drill as many holes as i did you only need a few
btw bigger holes gives a deeper sound...how big should they be and how many?

mine was later airbox which the bottom doesnt unclip
jigsawed the bit out that used to 'unclip' then drilled the side closest to the wing with a 20mm drill bit.
also took restictive pipes out and put a K&N cotton gauze filter in
deffinatly feel more throttle response, and noise is satisfactory..really deep low down

no, i drove it...this is much much better than the induction kit and sounds even better. I removed only the 'unclipped' part and the restrictive pipes inside...dont think i need to drill it

if you have a standard box just whip the front air feed off, fooking growls like a mother.
even on a mates 1.2 8v, was quite funny, although you obviously need the air being fed otherwise you've got heat soak induction kit problems.
i reckon a 2nd air feed or better one would help a fair bit, the standard to front slam panel is about as good as a bent maccy d's straw at feeding air into the box

just remove the inner pipes, the bottom part near the wing
leave everything like it is..nobody would even notice..i left the standard cold air feed too....the sound is nice

Noise issues and the fact the car has to start and run in a wide range of conditions.

John, so removing the restrictive parts out of the airbox will stop it working in certain conditions?

if it doesnt work in certain conditions, put the pipes in again

i think i read something about why they put these pipes in.
can't remember what though, may have just been part of the vauxall mission to make the most restrictive air intake system on an engine ever made lmao

Quite a headturner aswell. People turning around expecting to see a beefy car and end up looking at a bog standard GSi.

That's what I took out earlier and with only taking that out I can definitely notice a big difference in noise. My mate said it and he's not even into cars
