well i no that! its an non immboliser ECU!!!!!!!
so you cant fit an non immboliser ecu to a car with a immboliser
stripping the ECU's now, to se if i can fit the superchip in my ECU

Sounds like its an immobilised ecu to me.
A non immobilised one would work, as it wouldn't be looking for a immobiliser input.

and theres no where for the chip to be swapped in my ECU! so can't use mine
do you think it would work if i unplugged the immboliser bit around the barral or nt

Nope, it can't be a non immobilised ecu, if it was it wouldn't be flashing the ecu light.
How come the chip wont fit? Is the ecu internally different?

unplugged the plug on the immboliser ring! Runs! but EML comes on and rev limted to 4800rpm
paperclip test (never done one before, always use tech 2)
but there's nothing wrong with the car, so what could be different

take the cowling off, and its the ring around the ignition barrel
if you eml's flashing then you more than likely that you have a immboliser fault

Oh, so it's behind the steering wheel?
Mmmm..i thought u meant is was in the ecu box..
My car didn't originally have immobiliser but I had changed the 1.4 ecu for a gsi one ages ago. And now the EML is flashing and the car won't start...

try unplugging the immboliser plug first!
the way it limits the revs, i think its something to do with the cranksenser i think. going to have a go with the paperclip test now

8.3-83-Wrong immobiliser code
1.6-16-Knock sensor circuit
You should be getting a flash, break, two flashes as the first code, initation code.
1, break, 11flashes doesn't exist i dont think

wiring is different. have had this problem a few times, its simple to fix, got some pics somewhere, just needs 1 wire repositioned in the ecu loom. send me a pic of your ecu plugs showing the position of the red/green wire
then I will release the magical geek knowledge.
