its for AV/PC and other electronic technology, therefore 360 threads are in the correct area, if he has a problem then dont open them

no you are quite correct, but surely the 360 drivel should stay in 360 posts and not be pushed around Geek Day in general? Perhapps ian and tim could do a sub section for consoles, would clean geek day up

Thats an assupmtion your making just for the sake of an argument.
We're not speculating differant scenarios here, we're addressing a problem. And the problem is that it seems to be taking over.
I don't mind reading bits & bobs about them, but I (and many other members) are sick of having it shoved down our throats.
Ever since the Wii & PS3 launched there's been a few of you who actively seek out threads & aim to shoot down anyone who wants to talk about them.
You may well have an opinion, but we're at a stage now where we've seen & heard enough & its time it stopped.
It's your hobby & you like being "in the know", but I think you should realise that there is a better place for that type of discussion....

Fair enough, but obviously we don't need loads & loads of threads about them.
Random off the top of the head example would be the Forza threads over the past few weeks. I like having a flick through to see whats new/what cars/tracks etc, but I don't want to see 4 or 5 threads all about the same thing
Info wise one big thread is better than lots of little ones 
And yes Robin its not just Steve, so its not right to single him out. But he & the others share the same attitude & its that causing the problem

geek day has 3 areas, ps3 v 360, PCspecs and lets all have a tug over the new phone releases.
splitting it is pointless, there are plenty of other topic threads

What I am getting extremely tired of is the constant shooting down of either console and total banter.
If someone makes a PS3 thread.... dont shoot off about how the 360 is better... and vice versa. It causes nothing but flaming and is totally pointless and doesnt head up a healthy discussion.
Each console has their own ups and downs...... and they will only suit certain people. If someone wantS a PS3.... they can have a PS3... and shouldnt be shot down for it.... same as the Xbox360.
Topshot/Steve/John/Rus.... just calm it down a bit.
