i downloaded the pc version in the end. graphics are amazing. One of the best, but i'm not sure on the handling of the cars. colin mcrae was all about drifting and it fighting against you (which was the fun part) but thats not there as much now. you really have to go fast to get some proper drifting going

No proper multiplayer im afraid. Codemasters confirmed that the multiplayer aspect wont be head-to-head racing, but rather time races like in real rally events. You'll battle up to 100 people in a single room for the best time... Get the best time, and you win

Booo thats a bit pants. Not the end of the world though i hardly ever play MP anyway. Wonder why people are having problems? Seems like no one has managed to download it yet
As for the handling not drifting enough, i recon its because these are newer and more improved cars which shouldnt drift too easily. I bet an old EVO 6 or a MK2 Escort will be sideways-tastic

Left xbox on last night downloading. Woke up and it was there
Had a little play, graphics are 'ok' (i was half asleep) but the handling seems pretty boring and the brakes are just rediculous, way too strong.

you know you can turn "background downloads on" which meens the xbox will keep downloading whatever demo you have going till its finished then automatically shut off. Whats more whilst its downloading the demo the only thing that it left on the console is the hard drive and the network adapter everything else surplus is shut down.
its worth turning it on (unless you already knew that then smb).

downloaded this morning, first thoughts. OMG codemasters, how how can you make such an amazing looking game, and then leave the handling to the work experience boy! i mean do non of them drive real cars there?!?!
however, played it for a bit now and the impreza on tarmac im not liking but the evo and the buggy im thinking is ok. Its no match for the visuals but it will do. What they really need to do is swap games with forza 2 for a few weeks and get the handling off forza with the graphics off dirt. please.

ok just played, if im honest i didnt think that much to it.
graphics are no way the best the 360 has seen as codemasters said, and imo forza 2 looks better, VERY arcadey gameplay aswell. ok i know its not a fun but it was just plain pants on the tarmac track and i think you would black out if a car stopped that quick and it stops just as quickly on gravel
however i did find the incar view on the first track fun, but easy
i think this game could of done with being 60fps aswell like forza 2 and motorstorm.
overall i thought it was ok in every way, i will play the demo again but certainly wont be buying it, fm2 does everything i could ask for in a game so perhaps i was expecting abit much from this, but i really did have high hopes for this game

Where as I think FM2 is shit. I must prefer that 'pick up & play' arcade feel.

I personally hope the ring track is a better version of the one in GT4. There are parts that are very inaccurate

Surely being a "true gamer" would make you the fag
Spending all your time in front of the TV playing on a games console, whilst giving yourself the "true gamer" moniker is hardly something to boast about
