Its official release is Friday 28th!
But every time I have pre-ordered a game in the passed, it has arrived before release date!
so if I'm not online tomorrow, its becuase I'm addicted to GT5

yeh i agree with steve... it looks like those screen shots are promo shots potentially with the settings tweaked to make the graphics look better...
Where's all the detail in the rear view mirror gone?  aahh probably lowered that to make the rest better.
in the real version the rear view mirror won't look like that, so to render another scene behind the car at the same time it'll have to lose detail in the foreground (looking forward).

Check when he drifts the car, on the left side you can see what hes doing with the accelerator / brake...
No balance in throttle... just 100% mid slide and no real precision in steering...
Yet the car slides / corrects perfectly...
this is designed to make you feel like you're controlling it / driving like a god, but in reality this is the game balancing / compensating for you and making sure the car isn't spinning out...
fucking shit imo... I hate how they dumb these games almost to an arcade level to make them appeal to a larger audience.

p.s. its around 1:46 - 1:56 that made me chuckle... just turn in and 100% throttle and then straighten up, slight opposite lock (still 100% throttle) and ta da, perfect drift.

Looks good, not worried about the physics really, won't make the game any more or less playable for me.
But why would I bother going to buy the demo, only to get the full version later on?
