My router disagrees with it though.... It says:

Modem Status Connected
DownStream Connection Speed 7616 kbps
UpStream Connection Speed 416 kbps

The top two results are Virgin Media ADSL 8Mb. Used to have the cable service they provided and always seemed to get a good speed with that. We live in a non cable area now though and the ADSL service is crap for anyone who is not nocturnal.

Router just tells you what you are synched to the line at, thats not necessarily what you download at, ie my line synched at 8 meg and nowhere near that as my actual speed.

But then I always an dubios os these type of speed tests. I know mine runs faster than that having done 96GB in a day.

Just cus you pay for an Upto 8Mb service it doesnt allways mean you will get it, its down to line quallity and various other factors that cause the issues.

Yea I know buddy.... it is also mainly down to where you live as well... for example if you live in big Cities or nr Big Cities you have a better chance in getting a quick line...

nah at work, It says ISP easynet.........we are Easynet, its pretty clever

Allthough there are a few guys that do have that spec i mentioned above at home
