I downloaded it from the SE site rather than using the disc, was easy peasy!
Don't have phone connected when you install.

How can you get the square cursor ring thing to light up blue like you see in the pics?
Mine just shows white like all the rest of the keys

Surely they can;t show the phone doing something in an advert that it can't do in reality?! That's straight up misleading of information yo!
It's the only reason I wanted one really - the blue and black reminded me of Inter Milan, I feel cheated and should probably now take legal proceddings against O2/Sony Ericsson

not really the same is it
that pocketpc is slow and sluggish, doesnt have the advanced screen the ipod does, no widescreen support, no motion sensor, no earpiece sensor, and looks overall ugly

I've been using the camera a bit more and if you're indoors where the light isn't perfect and it uses the flash, then the photos all come out dark. It's fine outside, but my K800 was better indoors. It's a shame, considering the camera is such a prominent function on a phone like this.

If your having dark camera problems, point 2 in this list
quote: Taken from GSMarena.com
I agree that this firmware does indeed have lots of bugs. And I mean LOTS of bugs. This has to be one of the least finished firmwares to ever be shipped by SE. In saying that though, I only have a few big problems:
1. The firmware associated with the camera is poor. The shutter sometimes closes which the picture is still being taken and so I end up with a black image.
2. The flash often discharges too early, resulting in a darkened photo.
3. The volume buttons aren't always responsive. [O2 firmware specific]
4. Thumbnails created stay in the phone even after the content has been deleted
5. It is impossible to disable GPRS.
6. The auto-rotate feature consumes too much processing power
7. Where the hell did the SMS viewing options go? I can't disable the preview of a message...
8. Smart search doesn't work efficiently because I have a lot of numbers. Surely the idea of smart search is to aid those with lots of numbers?
9. I want the option to change what the left touch button does. I don't want a link to media.
10. I'm not sure how this has happened, but my photos have become corrupt twice now. I think it happens when I leave the camera while a photo is still being saved. It's hard to replicate though, so I'll have to wait for it to happen a third time to see exactly what causes it...
I'm aware these aren't all specifically firmware bugs, but some are features that have needlessly been omitted...

only thing that bothers me id the new D pad thing, hurts my skinny thumb other than that theres nothing amazing, layout is same as the k800i, the screen is better and video rec is much improved....another thing that bugs me is phone status isnt displayed anymore and also wheres the clock on standby, screen is dark...
also is track ID fully free? or does it cost you the bit that gets you on the net?
