Some new housing estates have fibre optic cables, that aren't compatible with broadband. BT are too tight to dig the lines up & put new ones in

I'd be very pissed off if I bought a 5 year old house & couldn't get even a basic broadband connection

yh i got that 3g mobile broadband just plug in me laptop and use it anywhere in uk and get 4mb connection : ) for £15 a month

You won't get 4MB anywhere in the UK at all

You might get it in the major cities but not outside

London gets 7.2MB now, major cities get 3.6MB (IIRC, Matt?) and most other places ar elucky to get over 1MB on a 3G card

That was my apartment in Poole 5 months it took for them to wire it up no phone, sky, internet wankers.

Up to 3.6 is what the modem can do, realisticly you'll not see above 2.8 due to traffic/location

Tis good though, i use mine daily

Aye same here but the 7.2mb one is a bit of a nonsense really, i think its the city, the major london airports and like convent garden area that get it
