I remember when I had my amiga i used to save up my pocket money and then my dad would take me over to a second hand computer shop, they would have 100's of games in there, i used to buy one a week literally, then one weekend we went over and i bought Monkey Island 1, got it home and did my usual play it for hours, next weekend came along and Dad asked if i wanted to go over, and apparently I said i never wanted to buy another game again haha, i used to play it for hours on end.
It was like Christmas when I found out there was a second one, so the pocket money saving process began again!
Years went by and I got a PS1 i can't remember how old i was, i must of been early teens i reckon. My uncle came round on xmas day and gave me my present, he also gave me a PS1 game and said "here have this, i can't get on with it", I looked at the box and thought i'd hate it, it was Broken Sword 1. I whacked it into the PS on xmas day, and my love for point clicks game back, i couldn't be moved from the TV that day, i must of played it for so long, i still remember getting stuck on a certain bit in Ireland with a Goat, i can picture the scene exactly now.
God those were the days, nowadays I don't even play my PS3 much, Fifa 09 thats about it, and FM09 on the PC

I loved B17 Flying Fortress on the Amiga as well, was made by Microprose I literally spent days on that game.

I only remember some form of F1 racing game we had on PC. I couldn't tell the name of it though. I was never big on gaming until I was bought a PS1.

The only F1 game on the Amiga was Geoff Crammonds 'Grand Prix' that was also made by Microprose and again, was AWESOME. The damage models were better then than they are now.

I remember some of the combination of items on monkey island was so rediculous that you only passed certian parts of the game by chance/luck
Love them all though, even the most recent. Have any of you played Professor Layton and the curious village on the DS, its actually quite good in terms of a recent point and click

I got stuck on one of the Islands recently as I had never played the full version of Monkey Island 2 with ALL the tricks and I had to go and find the walk through in the end to get past a certain bit, was driving me batty.

I miss the days were you used to go into a games shop (at the time it would be someone's small business in a converted garage) and take along your shed games to trade in.
Those were the days... now you just search on ebay and click on order

Those game back then were so playable, you picked them up and for hours on end you would just play and play. We used to have Kick Off tournaments when I lived in Kent with all the kids on the estate, dozens of us similar age with a league we put together on paper, I wasn't very good at Kick Off as I never had the game myself until I moved away and would end up finishing bottom of the league
