Yeah, seems silly tbh. Do you really sit in front of the TV that much? Screw paying for newsgroups too, I'll just leave them over night.

^^ Same. I find the DVD rips around 1.3gb in size are pretty much perfect on my 40" TV. Always see the 4gb Bluray versions but never bother with them.

Tweeked utorrent a bit and single torrents now come in over 4 meg. tis was 1.4gb and took 6 mins
I would rather lose by a mile because i built my own car, than win by an inch because someone else built it for me.

I'm streaming to PS3 so struggle with some of the rips now, thanks to Cinavia
Had 2 copies of The Social Network downloaded in 720p and both had problems with it, had to dl a 700mb copy in the end.
The "solution" I found on youtube was some guy watching things at 1.5x speed
Someone will break Cinavia soon enough i'd imagine though

It'll be non-comoressed BD rips, basically the complete BD disc. I agree though, seems a bit silly unless you're planning to burn them to BD discs.
I agree with Vrs in that usenet is the way to go. Granted it costs but it's a shed load 'safer' than torrents. And if you do torrent, then i'd run Peerblock as well.
