Traktors so much better than vdj CPU usage on traktor is very low

I was going to say this. Traktor is a much better programe than VDJ performance wise. I run it on a standalone Laptop, with nothing appart from traktor on it.

You dont need a super high spec laptop to DJ from. It helps, but isnt essential. Make sure you turn off all other features that you dont need like, WiFi card, bluetooth etc That all makes a difference.

I usually turn everything off on vdj, but I'm struggling to get traktor set up properly with my controller

Which controller? If you google the modle number and TSI you may find a controller configure file for traktor. It will have all the mappings already done.

Hercules RMX. Installed a tsi but that changed the skin, I lost my cross fader on screen and had no headphone cue. Audio settings were the same as before I imported the tsi

I got it on thursday, Its a bloody good bit of kit, my laptop blew up the day before so got a new one through work so happy days, I'll post come close up pics when I get 5
