That processor has a base clock speed of 2.4 ghz but has turbo boost frequency of 3.4 ghz. Intel's current flagship i7 processor (excluding the extreme range) has a base clock of 2.8 ghz and boosts upto 3.8ghz. It was an extra £250 for that processor which I couldn't justify because I don't need that much processing power. An i5 would have been more than ample for my needs but meh 
Price came in at £1419 delivered and including their silver warranty package

No I couldnt, its £1799.00 for the cheapest spec with retina dislay or £2299 for one with a lesser spec than what I have ordered. Plus I would never buy an apple laptop!

ive used them before i got a gaming pc made up years ago. They have been around for awhile never had any problems even when one of my memory chips went pop

Laptop touches down tomorrow I've had to use a different HDD because the hybrid drives are out of stock for three weeks and I wasn't prepared to wait. But I can now buy a SSD at a later date. I'll write a review of it once its touched down

I think I may have gone a bit OTT with the specs but I wanted a machine which can easily handle my photography work/software needs. My 5 year old Dell really struggles with my current software collection

Can't say anything bad about Acer. My dad's laptop is over 8 years old and it was constantly on (24/7) for 6 years! For past 2 years it is running as a server/connected to TV and no signs of packing in!
