no, its right at the start, you get on your horse and your following that dotted line and it leads you to a source of power then a wraith turns up and cooks your testicles for even thinking about fighting it. lol

It's lvl 7 I think?
I came back later at lvl 4 and beat it no problem. Just use the trap skill to make it vulnerable.
The door to the church is breakable and there's an easy quest inside that grants you a sword or amor or something as far as I recall.

I tried killing it a few times, only managed to kill it once then one of his friends killed me straight after so ended up chosing to turn it into a Lubberkin.

this game is hard lol, botchling is easy, as above turn into lubberking and use signs to neutralise it, just have to fight a few ghosts.
Im well into a cave at the moment and stuck on some ice king guy, its soul destroying this game

Do anybody else feel the skills and potions are all a bit meh?
At least it seems that way at lvl 7.
I have 3 or 4 unlock points, but not really sure what to spend them on as everything seems pretty useless.
I've only brewed potions a couple of times, but the effects wear of so quickly, it hardly seems worthwhile doing.

in the previous games i just used the fire sign and maxed that, didnt bother with any of the others as it was pointless.

Thought the botchling was fairly easy using lvl 2 Axii.
Cast Axii, wait for the stun to almost wear off, do two heavy attacks, dodge back, repeat.

i couldnt kill that botchling thing, i decided to turn it into a lubberkin instead.. after i had figured out you had to cast the spell a couple of times to calm the thing down it was dead easy.

You get one point for powering up @ the Places of Power. I went round all of them in White Orchard, think there were 8.

Anyone still playing this?
i'm up to about lvl 17 now, going on for ages (which i don't mind) but i'm not focusing on doing the main story yet, doing all of the secondary quests/ witcher contracts and treasure hunts as i go along.
Anyone else travelled onto any of the other places?

Haven't played for a week or so, but far from done with it, I should think.
Gets more fun as you start to get a hang of the combat.
Did you do the "Jenny o' the Woods" contract? Struggled for ages on that one.

Yeah took me ages! think i left it for a while and went back later on (iirc its a lvl 8 contract and i did it at lvl 11)
I have found that i need to be 1 or 2 levels higher to even get close to doing the witcher contracts.
