They stopped using the engine in about 94-95 i think, thinks its even before then. You try and find a 9 year + old engine thats done less than 80k. If you think the average is 12k a a year, and most of the cars it was used in were large/meduim family cars prone to doing lots of milage, your going to have a job finding one.

Yeah, but then my engine was 6 years old, and came from a corsa which is Driven by hundreds of grannys across the country, who also use theitr cars to go to the shops once a week
[In case your wondering what he's talking about, ive got a P plate 1.2, that i bought with 8,900 genuine miles on the clock in september ]
The problem with the 2.0's is that most of them are going to be in cavs and callys that have been used as company cars, or in astras that have been used a family cars, so the milage is gonna high in most of them.
Only other option is to use the Ecotec 136Bhp engine. Its not as cheap to tune than the redtop, but your much more likely to get one with low milage, as there still using the engine to date, or at least they have been upto the last couple of years

powercap used in your conversion too?
i use pvd shafts and hubs. make my own mounts and spacers. and then either use a powercap or the vauxhall ecotec pipe. just depends on what people want
