I can't read all that just now but I'm not sure who has missed that it could have many further uses if it works properly.

Not bad for a company that doesn't care about specs:

http://www.iclarified.com/33853/apple-iphone-5s-benchmarks-reveal-significant-performance-improvements-charts

Apparently the 5S has more power than the original MacBook Air

Interesting to see the year old iPhone 5 beats the S4 on almost everything too.

that's good results.

Doesn't the Iphone5 only beat the s4 in 2 of the 6 additional tests

Perhaps worded that wrongly, by 'almost' I mean there's hardly anything between them on all tests.

Not that I condone 'benchmark' scores since they rarely reflect real world use anyway.

Don't think you need to read the article to realise an Apple based news site is going to be extremely biased towards Apple products

As for the article, it's very watered down and light in terms of technical details, especially with regards to print recognition and the AuthenTec sensor; but it certainly gives some insight to how the fingerprint data is handled and stored. However hardware can still be exploited and obviously if a flaw is found, then it's harder to correct.

Either way, give it a few weeks and there will be (i hope) a plethora of security reviews of the device.

Maybe i've missed something but isn't that just a load of javascript engines (which aren't comparable) benchmarking as there appears to be no actual native benchmarking in that 'review'

Edit - Worth reading the comments on the AnandTech article as it seems there are a few people taking the article with a pinch of salt.
