Well Ive went from a iphone 4 to the note 2 and wow very happy even though I was apprensive.
The 5.5 inch Screen is amazing and even though I had my iphone jailbroken I can customise this just as much standard.

After seeing this on offer on ebay today, I decided the price was too good to turn down and ordered one
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=350637174130
The Nexus 4 still interests me, but I've decided I'd prefer to see what people have to say after it's been out a few weeks, and if the reviews are still positive I'll sell this on and buy one!

That's cheap for the S3... they're around £4-450 everywhere else! Mind you, if Samsung follow a similar release pattern as the previous range, a new one should be out in 3-4 months time.
As you say Rich, I'm waiting on the Nexus 4, available from Tuesday 13th, so be interested to see how favourable the reviews are in a weeks time.

They are only worth ~ £250 to recycling sites now.
I'm still ordering a nexus 4, no loss really, if I don't like it I'll just get whatever comes out next.

I was originally planning to buy it from Tesco sim free which was £469 iirc. Then John made me aware of the Nexus 4! That looks a cracking phone, but I just want to wait a bit to see what people say about them once they've been used in 'real life' - I also wasn't that impressed with the build quality of the Nexus tablet so am hoping the phone is a bit better built otherwise I may be put off by that.
John - yeh but they're still going for £300+ on eBay used so even if I sell it on in a few months time I'm not too concerned if I lose < £100!

You can get the LTE version with 2gb ram and in a non-gay colour brand new for less than that.

Is there an app/widget/tweak you can do to show the real-time data connection and preferably strength of that connection as a percentage?
I'm adamant this phone is shit at managing data. It won't even load a web page on anything less than H+ half the time.

Agree with the comments on here:
www.phonesreview.co.uk/2012/06/12/samsung-looking-to-avoid-galaxy-s3-antennagate/
Apparently 58% signal strength is full bars. I'm right next to the cell tower and 58% strength, mind you its better than what I get when out and about. Is this because the software is written to work with a range of hardware antennas and so has to operate at the lowest common denominator?
The data connections pretty much non existent when on a train. Can't believe people had the cheek to complain about antennagate with iPhone when other phones are this bad.

I've not seen that problem either Ash. Something to do with the 4G chipset?

It's a problem since the s2 that's been carried over to the S3 apparently. All the posts on forums are pre the lte version, I noticed straight away because I use it on the train every day to work and back just like I did with the iPhone. I never had a problem browsing the net, twitter, Facebook during the journey on the iPhone but cant load anything on this and keep getting that annoying connection error page on Chrome all the time.
Will get a nexus 4 tomorrow, so can compare side by side, and if it's better ill keep it, if not ill send it back.

Has it taken you that long to get a haircut or were you at the scrappy?

Just realised I've got a real life topical comparison.
There's a problem with the mast up here, my S3 is keeping a signal most of the time, other half's (something else bi polar will never have) 4S doesn't most of the time.
