No idea, was speaking to a mate last night who works on the phone section there, he said they'll be doing 12 month contracts though, so that suits me perfectly

does any1 buy insurance for their phone? £15 a mnth from o2 seems very steep, some internet places sell insurance but are they a bit dodgey? insure&go do a silver package for £35 a year which sounds reasonable or is it better to pay for a reward account with my bank £12.50 and get breakdown cover etc with it too?
are claims ok with banks or should i be weary?

There's no way on earth I'd pay £15 a month for insurance. It's a fucking scam!

on the o2 website, it says they're available from Thursday onwards, is there a pre-order date prior to that, or is it all systems go on Thursday and order as early as possible?

i dont think any1 is doing pre order...
i think im going to go for the 18mnth £40 contract the downgrade after 9mnths to the £35 contract, costing me £45 more, but i save £60 on phone and get minutes, net gain of £15 lol

only pre-order/reserve was via Apple web site.
O2 have just announced its only existing customers to start no new customers (broadband customers count)

They had me doing that for about a month until i realised it was a ripoff. I've added my iPhone onto my house insurance for an extra £2 a month and Greenflag breakdown cover costs me £30.80 a year.

So let me get this right.
If I stay with O2 and get the 16gb iPhone 4 on an 18 month contract I can get this deal:
300 Mins, unlimited texts, web etc
18 months at £35 per month
£179 for the handset.
That looks reasonable to me tbh

Or you could buy the phone out right, take a 12 month simplicity @ 15pm (gets you the same as the 18 month £35 tarrif) and if you want the iPhone 5 your £87 quid better off and after 18 months theres £3 in it. You also would then retrain unlimited data if you sort it before the 24th.

That really isn't too bad.
If I could sell my magic for £100 then I could live with that.
Realistically how bad is 500mb data? I know its about 100meg an hour to stream radio

It's 2/3 of a CD. Not great for drunken iTunes purchases for the walk home after a night out

i thought unlimited data was scrapped for all contracts?
or you could get the £40/mth contract, pay £60 less for the phone @ £119 then downgrade after 9mnths, saving £15 but have 600 mins instead of 300 min for the 1st 9 mnths

Look at your current phones data usage stats.

Nothing built in unless I go and download an app to do that. (HTC Magic - Android)
