Same, called in the Apple store on way past this morning to see if they had any, would just cancel the online order. They said they've only got contract ones. Back in the day all stock was 'sim free' now they apparently get an allocation of contract and sim free and rarely get sim free when stock is low.
Converted my 16gb iPhone 5 to gold at the weekend as it cost me nothing to do and sold it for £450 so now I'm using a 10 year old Nokia.

got mine yesterday too, coming from a 4 this is great. so light in comparison, and even with a case on its thinner. touch id works first time every time, as i'd expect from apple. its gimmicky, but ive added a complex password too so should be secure enough for me. the grey looks so much better than black of the 5

It's amazing how quickly you adjust to the weight, then go back to an iPhone 4/4S and it feels like a lead wight.

Same with screens. When I had my 3GS I used to think it was quality. I turned it on a whole ago and it looks absolute shit Also the same with old computer games. I remember GT3 looking the nuts!

Can you use the fingerprint scanner to get in to secret folder apps instead of using a pin code?

How did they come to that conclusion?
Can you not take it to an Apple store and just get them to replace it?

In my limited experience with Apple Stores they seem pretty good in respect of swapping your phone for a new one and not trying to wriggle out of it.

In Singapore airport killing some time before our flight back home. I can report that there seems to be no shortage of the 5s or 5c, they're bloody everywhere!

There are a number of factors that contribute to dropped calls, the hardware is only one of them.

Oh behave, you think I wouldn't have got her to test it out first? I'm not looking for the reason to hate, it's presented itself within 24 hours of getting the phone. Old Blackberry, same network, number of different locations and it worked no problem. Never ever dropped a call unless she hit no signal which is quite rare in Greater London.
They might replace it straight away but we did the contract swap on Sunday morning as for the next few weeks she in in uni 8-6 every day plus she's working at weekends. O2 aren't interested in swapping the phone, they suggested 'you should go into the store but it's unlikey they'll do anything, it's likely to be user error'.
The iPhone lasts anywhere between 20 seconds and 5 minutes in a conversation and then the caller gets cut off and she's presented with a beeping noise that wont stop. This is in the same locations.

I don't care how good Apple are at swapping equipment, if you bought a brand new car (especially an overpriced one like a VW Golf) and it broke down 24 hours after you bought it you'd be fuming, even if VW replaced it without a question.

Oh, and, the sound quality of calls is nowhere near the standard of her 4 year old BB Curve. Why?
