I never felt that way using the PlayStation 3. With the PS3, 12 minutes after opening the box I realized that Sony inexplicably does not include cables to connect the machine to a high-definition television. Keep in mind that one of Sony’s main selling points has been that the PS3 plays Blu-Ray high-definition movie discs. But high-definiton cables? Sold separately.

Wankers!

exactly, though he probably still has a few months yet til you will start losing money by putting a ps4 on ebay. i found these points actually quite worrying I wrestled with the settings. My TV supports up to 1080i, but the PS3 will only recognize 720. I must note that my 360 can use the higher resolution. Hopefully Sony can issue a patch.

The online store had only a few offerings and was not easily navigated with any degree of speed. I began to download the Lair video when I discovered that you must sit and wait while it downloads! What the heck? Sorry to bring in another 360 comparison, but this is something that Sony should have thought of a long time ago.

Also, something I forgot to mention in my initial impressions was that in the main legal agreement (which takes about a minute to scroll through) it states that if your system breaks from a Sony-created download or update that they are NOT responsible.

Chump have you played on on the PS3? its design is shoot. CD tray last about 20mins, Controllers battery packs ARE NOT replaceable,

You even have to plug the 'wireless' controllers in to recognise them FFS

That would happen to any CD/DVd player. dont be such a clown in future

You can charge the ps3 controllers "chump", and if a machine is designed to stand, it should be able to at least handle itself fallin over

YES they caa be charged but CANNOT be replaced if the battery fails unlike the 360 where you can buy a new pack.

if battery fails you have to spend £35quid on new controller

thats what im trying to tell him when they start getting worn out you NEED a new controller as sony made them so you cant replace the batteries unlike the 360 which you can buy a new pack for £9.99

what im sayin is, you can get the charge wire, the same as the 360, so you can charge it while playin, then go wireless once its got enough power

http://gaming.engadget.com/2006/10/20/sixaxis-batteries-not-swappable-but-sony-will-replace-controlle/

But we already knew i'd be right.

Give up with the slagging the ps3 every time its mentioned because a few of you have a 360.

Especially when you really don't have a clue.

nah, i wanted a ps3 over an xbox, but only decided on the xbox because sony delayed the launch. So i really had no preference. From what i have read, im glad i bought an xbox, if the reviews were good about the ps3 i wouldve probably said its no better, no worse than the xbox

The original reviews of the very 1st 360's were bad though.

I played whatever game it was on an sd tv when they 1st came out and it was like playing an n64 it looked that bad.

Because sony have had a delay in getting them in the shops does not mean they have had time to change major parts of the console.

The delays were because of 1st not being able to get the cell processors then not being able to get blu-ray diodes.

A downfall of using the very latest in technology.
