I'm talking about the present. There's no use comparing the 360 to technology that hasn't been released yet.
I heard that only one of the 360's processors is being used at the moment. What this means in terms of graphics I'm not sure and to be honest I don't really care.
People put far too much emphasis on graphics these days. I have played some truly shocking games that look great but are quite simply just shit

By the way I'm in no way denying that games look better on a PC. With the right settings and a bit of tweaking you can get games to look fairly good on pretty standard systems.
I just think where gameplay is concerned the consoles win hands down.

the 360 has 2 processors dave, one for math and one for gfx. it uses both, but the math processor is split into 3 cores that essentially creates 3 different realtime processing capabilities. and yes, graphics arent anything if the game is shite, but graphics are also the most fundamental structure of a modern game. you cant have fun with wire poly models

i think the cod3 graphics are awesome, far better then my pc with a 9800XT with 1.5 gb of ram and 3.2ghx p4 could produce at a healthy framerate, i know my PC isnt cutting edge but its not that old

Consoles win for.. picking up a controller playing a game for 10 mins with a mate or two,
Computers win for all round entertainment centers, full REAL multiplayer gaming, graphics, physics, modification, editing, realism..

Battlefield does look good, I haven't seen the 360 version in action.
Take Oblivion for example. Looks awesome on both the 360 and PC but it's widely known that the PC version had many graphical glitches when it was released (the 360 suffered from slight stutters, nothing remotely as bad). Great thing about PC's though is that there is a large community dedicated to patching and fixing games to make them better. Something i really hope flows through to the 360.

COD3 on the PC is far far superior to that on the xbox360 IME. its so much better to play with keyboard and mouse IMO TBF. ASDA. same goes for any FPS.

Yes, also the aiming and multitasking involved using a PC far surpasses that of console / 360 gaming

I'd agree with you on the keyboard and mouse thing Dave I can't seem to get the same accuracy with a pad (at least that's my excuse anyway )

The aiming with a mouse, requires you to be accurate and there for you work harder and it doesnt make you look better than you are,
all these console games have an aspect of auto aim, which is hard enough to control with a fucking stick or d pad anyway
