i to have the new power supply, if you turn it on its side it allows the bottom to cool down better as thats the part that gets very warm

15 out of 60 have had problems so far, so 25%
Some multiple times so that would make it a higher figure really.

not forgetting some of those have been sent back multiple times, so its really more than 9 out of 60!

To be fair going off here they obviously are'nt the most reliable things. But you can't go along worrying if/when it will break or you'd never buy anything. Fiat would certainly be out of business.

but its more the power supplies rather than actual concole hardware. the power supply overheats and takes out the other parts of the console.
sony are not much better, look at their batteries

Sony batteries are totally different issue to xbox's and ps3's.
It was the 360 fanboys who started this though.

like joe said anything can go wrong, and both the next gen consoles(ps3 and 360) have proved this, but what do you expect there more like computers now.
if your worried about a 2.7% chance that you will have to take a 360 back to get it replaced is a bit of a shame really, so you dont get one and think problem solved but you would be mad to go out and get a ps3, or a hdtv for that matter as these can all go wrong.
you were probably planning on 'driving' to pick these goods up aswell...cant do that! cars can go wrong aswell you know.
ah there you dont have hardly anything to worry about going wrong......bit of a sad and deprived lifestyle though

its a 15% return rate according to this thread. And a 25% chance of something going wrong.
Now Im not buying one because it will break, that wasnt why I started this poll. I started it because in a past thread people were saying Xbox's never broke....but they seem to have a lot of problems!

yeah but those stats are from a small number of owners on here.
out of the 10 million(probably over now) 360s sold so far 2.7% have been reported as faulty. and only a number of them will be the case of the 3 red lights, the rest will be careless owners and minor faults/ over reacting owners( game freezes once, gets 360 taken back when it could of been the game. things like that)
to me that sounds like an average electronic piece of equipment failure rate

I'm not 100% sure about what a normal return rate is but 2.7% seems massive.
