yes it is. Blu ray have no desire to back porn and HD DVD have confirmed they will. Google search will show this.

i understand it was because disney put sony under alot of pressure if it was to allow porn to blu ray and sony needs all the backing it can get with blu ray.
however vivid i think it was said they were still interested in making porn on blu ray if they can, but 99% of porn would go to hd dvd anyway because of costs.
it costs about $3 million to set up a Blu-ray replication line and about $100,000 to do the same with HD-DVD

its not the copying thats the issue steve, its the other 'family' based studios putting pressure on sony to not allow it.
Porn will be on HD DVD but NOT Blu Ray.
Same as VHS etc

Yes go google it and you will find that the studios are saying for now they are going to produce on HD-DVD BUT they also say that if Blu-Ray takes off then it will also product titles on that as well.
Sony have NOT banned porn in any way. Its the usual miss-reporting and twisting of words that have caused this.
There is so much crap talked about Sony/ Blu-Ray/PS3 its just silly. Soo many people really want it to fail they have to put out false reports. Just let it be - if its good it will suceed, if its crap then it will fail.

Its not Blu-ray making the decision though its the Porn Industry and it has also said if it takes off it will produce titles.
You comment makes out that Blu-ray don't want porn produced on thier disk but that is not the case

Yup, Digital Playground are going to produce their films for Blue-ray and a few others have joined it too (Look on XBiz and CDFreaks)
So Porn WILL be on blue-ray
