There's loads of cool scenarios like this throughout the game. I think I'm going to enjoy the thieves guild quests because it's a different style of play. My security and sneak skill are already pretty good so might improve my marksman skills and just pick off people with a bow and arrow

I was thrown out of the Mages Guild on the very last quest for accidently killing another member, it wasn't my fault either. We were ambushing some necromancers in the forest and a fight broke out, I accidently hit an ally and they all turned on me I tried to surrender to them but they weren't having none of it. I had no choice but to put them on their asses. I got back to the guild and was told I was thrown out and had to collect some ingredients to get back in

I did a good quest last night for the Thieves guild, I had to steal a journal from someone but another thief beat me to it... I followed her back to her house and then waited until she went to the inn for something to drink/eat. Picked her lock, then a chest by her bed and took the journal back

I stored it safely in my home until midnight and then took it to the secret meeting at 1am. Job done she wasn't pleased with me though.

iv done that, thats the first mission to be accepted into the theieves guild is it not?

that's the one Steve, it filled me with much joy and happiness. I did the second quest as well where you have to steal the taxes the guards took off of the poor people. My gamerscore is inflating by the day.

I found some sweet loot last night. Some shoes that let me walk on water, a ring that lets me see in the dark and some cool swords and maces.

I'm going to enchant the perfect weapon Steve. It's a glass bow with the following attributes...

Fire damage 5 points on hit
Frost damage 5 points on hit
Shock damage 5 points on hit
100% weakness to fire on hit
100% weakness to frost on hit
100% weakness to shock on hit
100% weakness to Magic on hit
Soul trap for 1 second on hit

Basically a 1 hit kill for most enemies and i get to trap their soul to recharge it back up again..... BOOOOYEAH!!!

In some Ayelid ruins, was just in a random chest. Is quite cool being able to just run across the water without getting attacked by slaughterfish...

I wonder if it works when you're on a horse...

I'm looking forward to getting in tonight and stealing more stuff. To get my next mission I have to steal 100Gold worth of stuff and sell it to Ongar in Bruma. I might break into some old woman's house and steal all her silverware

if there was one thing I would whinge about on Oblivion it would be the combat. They've never had it quite right and its always been just click madly until your enemy dies...

Though it has to be said, the combat gets better as you progress. When you become more skilled with your weapon you can perform different (and more powerful) moves. This slows the combat right down and takes it away from the frantic button bashing.

I have about 50 Welkynd stones in my house in Anvil

Varla stones you want to look out for, same as Welkynd ones but white instead of that light blue colour, also worth a hell of a lot more.

you can play in both 3rd and 1st person AdZ9

And if you really wanted, you don't have to wield any sort of melee weapon at all. You could play as a mage and carry a cool fire staff or something. Perhaps play as a thief and use a bow and arrow... the choices are endless.

I noticed that fighting in 3rd person does seem better, but it's harder imo.
