Even though the internet service isnt up to scratch at the moment its free and will get better. Plus is basicaly a blu ray player with a console built in, and pisses all over samsungs £500 recently released blu ray player and this is baced up in the of the review mags out at the moment.
Plus my xbox is that noisy the mrs tell me to turn the volume down
Just to add, i was furious when i found out my xbox cant play HD DVDs unless i spunk another £130 on a seperate drive, whats that all about, HD games but not DVDs? thats £410 all together and people are whining about the price of the PS3
so altogether you have a hd dvd player and a next gen console for £15 cheaper than a blu ray player and a next gen console(ps3)
difference being microsoft didnt force feed you to support the hd format they are backing and pay £410 all in one go
people are whining about spending £425 on a ps3 because its a huuuuge amount to spend on a games console, yes it has a blu ray player biult in but to alot of people who wanted/want a ps3 arent interested in blu ray movies

If microsoft were sure hd-dvd would win there would be an hd-dvd player built in.
They are only keeping their options open.
What would the 360 fangirls complain about if it had a built in hi def player and wireless and cost the same as a ps3?

IMO all games consoles are a waste of money.
If you want to invest money wisely, buy a Corsa.

What ever console I get il probably want the other one anyway .
Both consoles have their pros and cons, Il wait for release date and see how the reviews go on the PS3.
As far as games go both consoles have games I want haha
For example the xbox has Project Gotham and the Playstation has GranTurismo.
Blu-Ray vs HD-DVD too, Another argument
HDMI vs Component or does the Xbox have a HDMI cable
I hear xbox live is pretty ace. I hate decisions, I'm rubbish

hdmi vs component isn't a choice.
you need hdmi to play hd stuff at full res.
You'll not be doing that on a current 360 unless they bring out an hdcp compatible hdmi cable.

technically they do as they dont offer a blu-ray player add-on do they?
So if you want to play the games to the full potential you HAVE to go for HD.

HD-DVD's I meant, should have said that.
I'm not sure if component supports 1080p although it probably does.

Component doesn't support 1080p film playback from the HD-DVD player on the xbox 360 (only the 360 limits this, no reason why as component has enough bandwidth to support 1080p and most hd-dvd players allow for 1080p over component). Only, currently, the VGA allows for full blown 1080p playback from the HD-DVD drive.
Both connections support 1080p on games though.

I hadn't even considered that before.
So for a similarly specced 360 you are paying more.
If you can't afford a ps3 then yes a 360 is the better option.
If you are looking for the better overall deal though the ps3 still pips it imo.
bollocks. adpater can be had for £40 or use a gaming acces point for less. Controllers are better.
PS3 doesnt come with HD cables
PS3 has shit online play
PS3 has expensive games
PS3 needs the controlelrs plugging in to establish the wireless
PS3 isnt going to be backwards compatible with many PS2 games
PS3 is over priced, a year too late and not really that special, In fact many games look better on the 360
Its built by sony, so prob full of spyware/DRM and other shite licensing
Its built by sony, so will probably burst into flames

ohh how wrong you are, i wish people would read up things before posting about 360 v PS3. Forza allows realistic mods like Evo engines into other mitsu's etc Theres no loud bodykits or Neons

and you managed to type all that with one hand, whilst using the other to whack off and give your xbox a pearl necklace.
