yeah i dont think there is enough of a shortage to put the price up on ebay, although some people will pay over the odds on ebay as for some reason people on ebay have no idea about the price of anything.
Also my friend works in gamestation out of 34 odd consoles they had sent they only took 13 pre-orders so im sure theres quite a few still in stock.

yea Gamestation told me i could pre order one and that was last week. with the PS2 they sold out weeks in advance

So its clear that PS3 has NOT sold as well as PS2?
How many units were made in time for each launch? How many were sold in the first week?

got mine today and i love it all this pish about not being backward compatable i dont give to hoots why the hell would you buy a next generation games console to play older games on it i dont understand that tbh

na i could care really not any kind of selling point to me if you want to play older games i say keep playing them either on xbox or ps2
i need a hd telly any good one that are going cheap on offer etc?

think it's more the fact that sony come out and say "all ps2 games will work" as a selling point to certain people. then, as with alot of aspects etc, it's a let down

yeah i was atleast expecting gt4 and gta to work, im know halo and forza works on the 360 along with all the other popular xbox games so why wont gt4 or gta work on my mates ps3... unless hes got a faulty console?

right now i really cant compare the graphics, crontroller etc but my first impressions were without playing a game compared to the 360...
it looks better, and my mate had it hooked up to his psp today aswell which sounds pretty cool
the menu system was very basic looking...infact it was only made up of black and white
it got VERY hot at the back after only 15 mins of being on
none of his ps2 games worked
its very quiet, but im not sure if i could here any fans working...then again ew only got as far as the menu.
steve i will give you a much better comparison tonight as my mate is getting 1 game, 1 blu ray movie and downloading all of about 12 demos that are online

GT4 tells me I'll need a future firmware update. GTA San Andreas works fine though... 
Just waiting for some game demos to finish downloading from the store. Might purchase Tekken 5 as it's only £6.99 on there...

ah ha well his internet wasnt working last night hence the fact we didnt download any demos...just about to go round his now actually.
£6.99 for a demo, he wont like that they are free on xb live how many demos do you have to pay for?
