I have agree'd and parents/family is with me, the car is staying. They'd rather help me out for the amount that the car is worth than watch me sell what I've worked soo hard for

No. I only work 8 hours per week but have taken out maintenance loan. I have £500 in an ISA, saved from when I was working 2 jobs, but that is paying for another 12 months insurance come Aug/Sept.

At the moment the only chances I have of getting a mortgage are a lottery win or someone dying

I just don't want to rent, as I'll never save enough for a deposit.
I saw quite a good scheme in the paper. Was a redevelopment in Manchester. You agree to buy with the developer, but for the first 3 years, you pay rent. At the end of this 3 years, they give you the rent back as a deposit, so you just have to arrange a mortgage. Genius idea imho, as they'll get the money sooner or later.

But with a lottery win (unless it was 'just' £10k or something) you wouldn't need a mortgage I plan on this happening to me though.

Yea ive got some money from when my dad died when I was 2 Its hardly an ideal situation, but its there to add on to my ISA. Not really the way to go about it though is it, needing someone to die before we can afford to buy a bloody place to live

You are 19 and are contemplating moving out? Are you fucking crazy? You aren't even in your twenties and you want to commit to the single biggest purchase of your life? You would be better off saving your cash for another 5 years and having a massive deposit, especially around our way where everything is ridiculously priced.

Is it still easy to get a mortgage if you have say a 10% - 15% deposit or are they not lending to anyone no matter if you can afford it or not
