Cheers for the feedback . The old lad is getting a bit frail now, a hard working life and poor lifestyle is catching up with him unfortunately. My best mate is a builder though and does bits free/at cost such as the wardrobes (look better in real life than on the pic) and sorting me the roof out. Still a killer having to buy a roof though. The missus's interior design skills leave a lot to be desired, hence that stupid sputnik looking light in the bedroom! I'll take a few more upto date shots and get them up, it might inspire me to get a few more jobs sorted!

Ikea PAX pretty much pick and choose sizes and what you need to go inside.

Slight update;
Corner sofa been in a couple of months, proper fills the room up and is ideal for us two. Just needs a carpet in that room now and it will be something like for a bit. (quite a few bits we've planned which are on back burner like getting rid of artex ceiling, replacing skirting, coving on boxing in and my girlfriend thinks wallcolour is to light so not quite finished!)
Insides of wardrobes done at last!
Glad to have got rid of the clothes poles. Thought about painting them up inside but decided i'll leave it since they hardly get seen anyway.
Still loads I need to do, just seems to be never ending!

Yeah but that's the door to the decking side of the house so its hardly ever used, the main door is through the kitchen.

Recently had the old man helping with the back yard, first of all we (mainly him) slabbed it off for cleaner space to park the car and access the coal shed. Since then he's re-roofed all the sheds with the left overs from the roof, knocked one of the coal sheds into two, sorted the insides out, added shelves and sorted the doors out.
Got rid of 1 neighbour from the equation, other one is hanging on in there although my dad has stuck his lock on and they've not said anything although I don't actually mind them using it as long as they know that they are actually mine. Anyway he is currently making some fencing just to make it a bit more private and more tidy, will leave a gap for the car. then just need some pebbles etc to put down but the prcies for bags of that kind of stuff are a joke!
Rest of the house i've finally got a living room carpet in! Next up is new windows, going to do them one at a time and replace the lintels (sp) at the same time on the front of the house where they are weathers.

Only just finished off the backyard!
Just need some finishing touches, but it looks a lot better than when we first moved in.
Also done quite a few other updates since I last posted in this thread. Will try and get some decent pictures and update it.

Put some fencing up (myself which is why it's not perfect!) Also got rid of soil for stones so lower maintainance! Decking was grubby so cleaned it all up and oilled it.
Livingroom has a carpet and we changed colour of the walls.

Got a new bed in bedroom which is loads better. The rest is still the same, still want coving and something for the wall behind the bed, possibly a change in colour on the walls.

Cheers fella. Hit a dilema really now, could do with moving on to something a bit bigger so we are trying to upgrade things whilst being mindful of cost rather than what we would do if planning to stop in it for the foreseeable.

Property advice needed; got a bit of money and unsure on how to play it! Found a house that sold recently that is exactly same layout apart from a couple of bits. Basically 1 of them is they have changed layout of bathroom to make the smaller second bedroom bigger, done a quick measurement and it gives 8 inch in other room (doesnt sound a lot but room size is 1 of those you can jhst get a single bed in so would make a difference. Im just unsure if it is worth doing when we do the bathroom?
Here is the property; http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-41609678.html
It sold for 83k. What do people reckon? The plan is to move but probably in 1-2 years time when hopefully my missus will be in a bit more money. So I'm thinking puttinga bit into ours now will only help it sell.

If you can do it without compromising the bathroom too much go for it.
We did the opposite on our first house, we moved the bathroom wall into the 2nd bedroom by 6 inches, the bedroom could take it and it gave us a better laid-out bathroom so worked for us.
All depends on the room sizes you have to play with, have you got some floorplans to play with?
