I find it a bit weird how when it becomes apparent someone on the forum is of a trade of some description everyone clamours to start using them
Almost as if these people in the line of work are hard to come by (they're not) or that their prices are ridiculously low compared to everyone else (they're not).
Car spraying is another example, people literally travelling hundreds of miles to get bits and pieces sprayed on their cars. Weirdo behavior

Steve he is very local to me and it's completely worth getting a few quotes isn't it? I'm very aware of the amount of carpet fitters in the UK, I had the living room done before I rented it out and Carpet Right turned out the cheapest.

Right you lot time for you to get angry with me:
Got my keys back, tenant left it in a fairly good state, needed a hoover and the cats have pulled a bit of carpet apart but she was living for 2 months without a boiler so I think I'll let her off!!
First job, boiler. Old one out, new combi in, tanks out, lots of pipework done, new shower to be fitted:
Decided it was best to move it as new pipes were run and new gas line was run, so much carpet has been pulled up! Got myself a nest as well, but, no internet so not working atm.
Next up is kitchen out:
(and new boiler in place)
Found some interesting electrics:
Made a big pile:
All except the tall cabinet and the fridge went in the alfa to the top in 2 goes:
Finished day one:
Day 2:
(it's CE marked willay)
Fixing shit electrics:
Electrics and cleaned up:
Painted the second bedroom as the daughter has obviously been fake tanning the walls dropped paint on the carpet whoops, lucky it's coming up:
That's me on my own this weekend... back there tomrrow and Tues with DAd for more fun and games.

Today I painted the master bedroom and the cupboard in there. Dad and I fitted a shower as the old one wasn't combi compatible, and a new rail for a curtain. I've taken some pics will post later.

Right you cunts, more substandard work for you to laugh at. All done by mine or my Dad's (mostly my) fair hand.
New shower. It's pretty damn good for a £25 eBay special
Painted and glassed spare room:
Painted and glossed hall and stairs:
Next up moved the TV and phone sockets into the cupboard under the stairs
Started undercoating all the woodwork in the front room:
Cat watching me
NEST - love it
Two coats of undercoat and gloss on living room:
Couple of boards upstairs up for running spotlights:
Did some jiggery pokery as the switch for the kitchen side light was by the sink/window, so connected the spots to the dining room light (sensible place) and extended the by sink switch feed to by the boiler so I can use that to switch under cab lights. Spots in:
Umm beautiful artex with massive holes for lights. Plasterer went and did the walls and ceiling in there today:
Yay more fucking painting.
Kitchen is being delivered Friday, I'm in IOW with work so will make a start next week. Exhausting!

No need, the only thing I need wired is my freebee printer and that can live next to the router under the stairs. My TV/surface etc are all wireless, I never plug them in and because the house is small and the router is smack bang in the middle the signal is brilliant!
